Flowers, they bring a smile on my face. The colours, the texture and the detailing of elements in the stem, leaves and the petals make a simple flower look so beautiful and exquisite. Sometimes you would be surprised that the click is of the flower that you see every day and not pay attention while running for work. Although flower photography seems exciting but you need to have some patience to click the right photo to bring out the best. A little movement and you miss the perfect click.
When I click, it is basically in these forms:
Single Focus: Focus on a single flower and detailing and you would be surprised to check out the results. Focus should be on the center and the best time to click would be morning time. I believe this is the time when the light is perfect for clicking a picture of any kind. And most of the times you will have to bend down to get to height of the flower and get a clear idea of what is it that you want to focus.
A bunch of flowers: When you need to show the composition with 2 or more flowers arranged symmetrically or in a manner that they look appealing, I go for this type of click. Mostly the way flowers are drooping and are arranged in a bunch determines the angle at which you would want to click.
Picture with a backdrop: This is my second favourite , the first being “single focus”. The reason being this type of click is very different from the other two and brings out a creative side of the photo. Focus on the best flower in the front and the backdrop would be the rest of the flowers in line. A bunch of flowers in some formation would be a nice one too.
