The time I visited Seven Wonders in one day!

I visited Kota, Rajasthan after 9 long years and all I could remember was, numerous Coaching Institutes and one mall. But this time the city had changed a lot and of course it had to be, it had been 9 years.

Two main highlights for tourists have been making this city lively. One being the 7 Wonders Park, the second being the Chambal River Boat Ride and Safari.

7 Wonders Park->Replicas of the 7 Wonders

The Taj Mahal– Our own. 🙂 . This replica is remarkable and sparkling white.

  • Great Pyramid of Giza-It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact. There have been several construction hypotheses  on how it is still intact and these theories are based on the idea that it was built by moving huge stones from a quarry and dragging and lifting them into place.So going to Egypt might not be a possibility but catching hold of the pyramid in the 7 Wonders Park is.

Eiffel Tower of Paris: There is an interesting story about how Eiffel Tower got this name. At the 100th anniversary of French Revolution,Paris hosted a World’s Fair to mark the 100-year.Many artists submitted their plans, but the commission was granted to Eiffel et Compagnie, a consulting and construction firm owned by the acclaimed bridge builder, architect and metals expert Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel. While Eiffel himself often receives full credit for the monument that bears his name, it was one of his employees—a structural engineer named Maurice Koechlin—who came up with and fine-tuned the concept.

New York’s Statue of Liberty: The same duo Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel and Maurice Koechlin had collaborated on the Statue of Liberty’s metal armature,several years earlier.

Rome’s Colosseum: I find this monument amazing from the architecture point of view and actually it is an amphitheater of the olden days–with 100 days of games, including gladiatorial combats and wild animal fights.

The Chambal Boat Ride

This boat ride is a unique experience, unlike anything on the Indian wildlife circuit. The boat ride on the calm waters of the Chambal, combined with the dramatic landscape and close-up views of the amazing abundance of wildlife are the highlights of the river safari.
